Dr. Bassi, is an MBBS Graduate of University of Maiduguri Nigeria ,Fellow, of the National Postgraduate Medical college Nigeria. He had Masters in Pharmacology & Therapeutics at Obafemi Awolowo University Nigeria. Advanced Diploma Pharmacovigilance, Uppsala Sweden.

Dr Bassi has extensive experience in Pharmacovigilance activities. He is Trainer of Trainers in Pharmacovigilance. Zonal coordinator Pharmacovigilance, North/East Nigeria. He had lead several coordinator and projects Principal investigator, among which are Artemisinin-based therapy CEM,  CEM for safety signal detection after vaccination with COVID-19 Vaccines in Nigeria.

Dr Bassi is a visiting Associate Professor and examiners to medical and undergraduates/postgraduate in many University in Nigeria.Has attended conference and courses within and outside Nigeria and was key Speaker at some international Pharmacovigilance conferences.

He is recipient of many awards and honours. Members of professional association,Such as  International/African Chapter Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP/ISoP African Chapter, Member Internal AIDs Society (IAS) etc.
