Dr. Kudakwashe Dandajena, Principal Programme Officer for Technology Strategy at the African Union Development Agency, oversees the AU’s Smart Safety Surveillance technology. With 14+ years of experience in non-profit, public, academic, and research sectors, he has led digital transformation and scientific projects globally in over 60 countries. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (AI specialization) and has worked with the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, African Leadership University, University of the Western Cape and the Government of Zimbabwe. He is a member of the Global Partnership on AI, focusing on ethical use of emerging technologies to address global challenges
