Dr Henry Zakumumpa is based at Makerere University in Uganda.   Henry’s PhD focused on HIV treatment delivery in Uganda, a resource-constrained setting. Henry is interested in pharmacovigilance research relating to new HIV therapies. Between 2020 and 2022, he undertook a study to understand the safety of the newly introduced dolutegravir (DTG)-based HIV treatment in Ugandan populations with funding from Uppsala Monitoring Centre.  From 2022 to 2023, Henry was part of the investigator team evaluating a novel peer support intervention for enhancing the involvement of recipients of HIV care in reporting of ADRs in Uganda with WHO funding.
