Aida is a Regional Technical Advisor on Pharmacovigilance and Product Safety for the USAID-funded Promoting the Quality of Medicines Plus (PQM+) program, implemented by the United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP). She has worked mainly in ensuring the safety of COVID-19 vaccines. Aida brings over 12 years of experience at both regional and national levels in pharmacovigilance, pharmaceutical product regulation, and marketing authorization.

Previously, Aida worked with the Ethiopian Food & Drug Authority as a Pharmacovigilance Expert, where she contributed to the monitoring and evaluation of drug safety. Her career also includes roles as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist with multinational pharmaceutical companies, where she focused on pharmaceutical product registration and dossier preparation in compliance with regulatory requirements in East Africa.

Aida is passionate about strengthening health systems, advancing public health, and ensuring patient safety.
