Dr.  Jackson K. Mukonzo is an Associate Professor and Chair Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Makerere University. He is a holder of PhD degree of Karolinska Intitutet,-Stockholm Sweden with a professional background of Pharmacy. Dr. Mukonzo is a Fulbright scholar (Senior African Research Scientist), and an alumina of the Canadian Institute of Health Research (International HIV Clinical Trials Network Fellowship) and CIPHER fellowship Program.

His Research spans the application of pharmacogenetics, Pharmacokinetics and pharmacometrics applications in the design and implementation of drug evaluation studies including clinical trials. He is the principal investigator of the on-going PREGART trial and others (NCT05228626, NCT04768179, NCT05605925). He is an author of more than sixty peer reviewed journal article publications- a significant number of which have influenced policy.
