Dan Kajungu
Dr. Dan Kajungu is a Biostatistician and Public Health expert with over 15 years of international experience. His expertise lies in designing and coordinating research projects in Africa, focusing on population cohorts, mortality surveillance, immunization research, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, and analysis of data from various sources including clinical trials, national surveys, and hospital databases. Dr. Kajungu is a leader of an established research platform (population cohort) at Makerere University (www.muchap.mak.ac.ug & www.vxmedss.org) and currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Stellenbosch University. His dedication to public health is further evidenced by his extensive experience as a consultant for organizations like the World Health Organization and his leadership roles in numerous research initiatives. He is an IMPRINT Network Post doc fellow (Maternal Immunisation Safety – https://www.imprint-network.co.uk/projects), an EDCTP Career Development Fellow (Vaccines and Medicines Safety Surveillance), CEPI/SPEAC Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) Expert. Attended several courses on vaccinology.
