Helena is a registered pharmacist with a background in data management, both with the pharmaceutical industry and the regulatory agency in Sweden. When she joined the Uppsala Monitoring Centre in 2007, she started out with signal detection work, moved on to software development, project management and database management before taking on the role as VigiBase manager for a few years. Until recently, she was part of the Product management team as a Product specialist focusing on UMC’s pharmacovigilance applications. Since February 2024 she heads the VigiBase and Regulatory Services section at UMC, focusing on activities like the VigiBase Custom Search services and support on international standards for ICSRs. She is passionate about harmonisation and utilization of pharmacovigilance data.
