Victoria Prudence Nambasa
Ms. Victoria Prudence Nambasa is a pharmacovigilance professional who currently works as Senior Program Officer – Health Product at the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD. In her current role, she supports signal management activities and other product safety monitoring activities under the African Union-Smart Safety Surveillance Program.
Prior to joining AUDA-NEPAD, Victoria served as Manager of Pharmacovigilance at National Drug Authority (NDA) Uganda, and has 13 years’ experience in medicine regulation, with core expertise in Pharmacovigilance and quality assurance of medicines.
Ms. Nambasa is a dedicated advocate of patient involvement in drug monitoring. She was recognized for her contribution to health services in Uganda at the HIHA Heroes in Health Awards 2022. As principal and co-investigator, has published numerous research papers on drug utilization and pharmacovigilance. Ms. Nambasa is committed to using her expertise to support African countries in product safety and is interested in furthering her knowledge in health sciences.
She is a pharmacist and holds a Master of Science in Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate studies with a focus on safety surveillance systems for maternal vaccines. Email: [email protected]; [email protected]
