Ebenezer Wiafe

University of the Western Cape (South Africa)

Dr Wiafe is a Ghanaian-trained and registered pharmacist (Doctor of Pharmacy) with a PhD (Pharmacy Practice) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He is a Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV) with a research and academic focus on oncology pharmacy and pharmacovigilance.

In February 2025, Dr Wiafe joined the Centre of Excellence for Pharmacovigilance in Southern Africa (CEPSA) as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and is based at the School of Public Health, University of the Western Cape (UWC). CEPSA is a joint initiative between UWC, Cape Town, South Africa and the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium.

Dr Wiafe has co-authored over 25 pharmacy practice peer-reviewed articles and one book on breast cancer, and delivered presentations at national, regional and international conferences. He is an academic editor for PLOS One and a peer reviewer for several journals.
