Anastacia Naidoo is the Pharmacovigilance Country Lead for South Africa and Sub‑Saharan Africa at MSD, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She holds an MSc in Pharmacotherapy from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa and has extensive experience supporting pharmacovigilance operations across South Africa and Sub‑Saharan Africa.

In her current role, she provides pharmacovigilance oversight across 27 Sub‑Saharan African countries, contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of pharmacovigilance systems aligned with national regulatory requirements and international standards. Her professional interests include regulatory science, inspection preparedness, and strengthening cross‑functional and health authority collaboration to support timely safety reporting and effective risk management.

Prior to MSD, she worked in pharmacovigilance roles at two of South Africa’s largest generic pharmaceutical companies, where she similarly supported Sub‑Saharan Africa pharmacovigilance activities.
