Adji Marieme NDIAYE is the Regional Africa Patient Safety Manager at Novartis, providing strategic leadership and oversight for patient safety activities across 53 countries. A seasoned Pharmacist with extensive experience in pharmacovigilance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and quality systems, she has spent over a decade strengthening safety governance and driving operational excellence in the pharmaceutical sector.

Adji has led major regional initiatives in regulatory intelligence, audit readiness, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement, contributing significantly to the advancement of robust pharmacovigilance frameworks across Africa. She also serves on multiple independent patient safety committees, pharmacists’ associations, and global and local pharmacovigilance societies.

She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Dakar University and is fluent in French and English. Adji is widely recognized for her commitment to patient safety and for championing a strong safety culture throughout the region.
