Ban Al Shimran is a senior specialist pharmacist at the Iraqi Pharmacovigilance Center within the Ministry of Health. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Baghdad. Her professional focus includes managing the adverse drug reaction database, medication error pharmacovigilance,  and developing pharmacovigilance guidelines.

Ban is an active member of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance and has organized and conducted training programs for healthcare professionals on drug safety and adverse reaction reporting.

Ban has also been involved in the organization of MedSafetyWeek campaigns and in fostering communication among pharmacovigilance officers through dedicated platforms.
