Eunice Heitha
Eunice Heitha is a dedicated pharmacist and currently serves as a Medicines Information and Safety Pharmacist at the Namibia Medicines Regulatory Council under the Ministry of Health and Social Services. She holds a Master of Science in Pharmacy from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, where she lived for seven years and also obtained a professional translation degree. She is fluent in Russian, supporting her work in international regulatory engagement and collaboration.
Eunice completed her internship in hospital pharmacy, where she gained valuable clinical experience in patient care, medicines management, and multidisciplinary healthcare delivery. She has over three years of professional experience in medicines regulation and pharmacovigilance, contributing to national pharmacovigilance systems, stakeholder engagement, and the training of healthcare professionals.
She also holds a Certificate in Dossier Assessment from the University of the Witwatersrand, strengthening her expertise in medicines evaluation and regulatory review. In 2024, Eunice served as an organiser of the Namibia Health Exhibition, the first health exhibition of its magnitude in Namibia, bringing together key stakeholders across the healthcare sector.
Eunice is passionate about advancing medicines safety, strengthening regulatory systems, and improving public health outcomes in Namibia and beyond.
