Ibrahim Mohammed Amidu is a dedicated Pharmacovigilance Specialist, Clinical Pharmacist, and Public Health Advocate with over a decade of impactful experience advancing patient safety and medication quality. Guided by an enduring commitment to safe and effective care, he has championed initiatives that strengthen pharmacovigilance systems, empower healthcare professionals, and prevent avoidable harm across Nigeria.

Ibrahim’s professional focus lies at the intersection of pharmacovigilance, health technology, and policy. He has led the design and implementation of hospital-based pharmacovigilance systems, contributed to national policies and training programs, and supported digital innovations that enhance medicine safety surveillance. His M.Sc. research examined how electronic medical records and telemedicine can reduce medication errors, reflecting his drive to harness technology for safer, more resilient health systems, especially in resource-limited settings.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ibrahim is passionate about mentorship and capacity development. As a member of the ISoP Student Group Coordinating Committee and the ISoP African Chapter, he actively nurtures the next generation of pharmacovigilance leaders, advancing a vision of safer healthcare for all.
