Leith is the Clinical Affairs Manager at National Bioproducts Institute NPC, a local African manufacturer of plasma-derived medicinal products based in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. She oversees the clinical aspects of the business, including Medicines Information, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Research and Clinical Regulatory functions.

She is a pharmacist with a master’s degree in pharmaceutical drug development, and more than 20 years’ experience in various sectors, including Pharmacovigilance. Leith is currently enrolled at the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine at the University of KwaZulu Natal, through which she is completing her PhD in Internal Medicine, with a focus on pharmacovigilance in rare diseases. She serves on the ISoP Africa Chapter Pharmacovigilance Practice and Regulatory Working Group.
