Dr. Manal Younus is Head of the Iraqi Pharmacovigilance Center (IPhvC), Ministry of Health, Baghdad, a position she has held since 2009. She holds a PhD in Clinical Pharmacy from Baghdad University and a Professional Diploma in Pharmacovigilance from International College London. A Fellow of ISoP (FISoP) and the Patient Safety Movement Foundation, she served on the ISoP Advisory Board (2019-2025), as ISoP Middle East Chapter Vice President, and as an Executive Committee Member of CIOMS for the second term. She is Iraq’s WHO PIDM and GSMS focal point, a certified GBT Assessor, and the author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications.
